About Shelly

Israeli artist Shelly Soffer engages in painting at her studio in a beautiful village alongside the Mediterranean ocean.

Shelly studied Neuro Semantics, NLP in the US with the leaders in this ground breaking field, including Dr Richard Bandler, John Grinder, Robert Diltz and Roye Fraser.

She believes there is a strong connection between therapy and arts. “The Arts are an expression of life, of energy of that inexhaustible source of creativity that William Blake referred to as ‘each mans myth’. The more we express ourselves personally and combine this with sensitivity to others the more powerful we become. The healing efficacy of the Arts depends on the commitment to the expression of self.”

Painting has always been her passion.

Shelly developed her skills further while being on a Diplomatic Mission in Boston MA, at the Brookline school of Arts. She continues to be guided and inspired by well known Israeli Artists. Her teachers include Ruth Kates – Newton MA USA and Luba Burko – Natanya Israel.

Her paintings express her unrelenting quest for the mysterious and magical.
